Rejoice In Holiday Films From Under Your Double Duvet Cover
by admin on Nov.08, 2009, under Travel and Leisure
There is nothing better than wrapping up in a double duvet cover with Christmas films on and guilty snacks. Laying back on the sofa with a mince pie and glass of punch is one of the best ways to relax on a winter day. These are the kind of days you long for when you are stuck at a desk. They are especially well-deserved if you have spent the morning having snow ball fights or building underground palaces out of snow. You will want to snuggle up near the fire just to warm yourself up. The following article is my three top tips for relaxing on a winter’s day.
Movie Day
You have probably guessed by now that one of my favourite winter activities is to sit on the sofa wrapped in my double duvet cover with some snacks and my holiday movies. Some of my favourite flicks include The Grinch, Bridget Jones and Love Actually. If I can get away with doing this for the whole day so that I do not even need to get out of my pyjamas, even better. Before you begin your first film of the day, make sure you have everything you need in touching distance because you will not want to move! Do make sure you give yourself toilet brakes in between films however.
Cooking And Baking
If I have a bit of energy then I love to do some baking and cooking in the kitchen. When the windows steam up you will feel like you are in a world of your own. Cooing Christmas cookies and decorating them is one of my favourite recipes. I also try my hand at warm pies, soups and cakes. You get to eat your treats after cooking them and the process will have relieved some Christmas stress!
Playing In The Snow
No Christmas is complete without making snow angels, building snow people and throwing the white stuff at each other. You can feel like a child again when you get to have a snow day. Whether you have children or not, you can get out into nature and enjoy the winter.
